Condiciones de uso

These terms apply when you use the MuseumVox website and buy a MuseumVox pass. MuseumVox is a brand of London Guides Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09617636), registered office Office 3, 4a Nelson Road, London SE10 9JB, United Kingdom. Email: [email protected]. We are not registered for VAT and have no VAT number.

1. The service

MuseumVox provides Chinese-language audio guides to UK museums and sights, streamed online. The first 3 tracks at each museum are free; from the 4th track you need a pass (or a pass code). MuseumVox is an independent guide service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any museum or sight. Passes do not include admission; follow each venue's own entry arrangements.

2. Passes and prices

PassPriceLengthCovers
Single museum£4.993 daysAll guides for the one museum you choose
All London museums£19.907 daysEvery London museum (excludes Oxford, Cambridge and Cosford)
Whole site£49.9030 daysEvery museum and sight on MuseumVox, including Oxford, Cambridge and Cosford
  • All passes are one-off payments, not subscriptions, and never renew automatically. Buy again if you want more time.
  • A pass runs from the moment payment completes: 3 days means 3×24 hours, 7 days means 7×24 hours and 30 days means 30×24 hours.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling and carry no VAT, as we are not VAT registered. Payments are handled by Stripe.
  • During the pass you can listen to the covered guides as often as you like. We keep adding guides; content marked “coming soon” when you buy is not guaranteed to be published during your pass.

3. Our contract

The contract is formed when you complete payment on Stripe's checkout page and we receive confirmation. We will email a purchase confirmation and receipt (invoice) to the address used at checkout, including the key points of these terms.

4. Your right to cancel and immediate supply

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, digital content bought online normally has a 14-day cancellation period. A pass is digital content made available as soon as you pay. When you buy, you expressly ask us to start supplying it immediately, within the cancellation period, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. Supply begins when payment completes.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the content is faulty (section 5).

5. If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a guide you bought will not play or is materially not as described, email [email protected]. We will fix or replace it, and if we cannot do so within a reasonable time we will give you a partial or full refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.

6. Using the guides

  • Passes are for personal, non-commercial use by you and the people visiting with you.
  • You may download guides to your own device to listen offline. Do not copy, share, publicly play or sell the guides, or get round access controls.
  • Copyright in the guides, text, schematic maps and site design belongs to London Guides Ltd or the relevant rights holders.

7. Accuracy

We write our guides from the official published information of each museum and sight and try to keep them up to date. Objects may be lent, moved or taken off display, and opening times and galleries can change. Floor plans on this site are MuseumVox's own schematic drawings: unofficial and not to scale. Always follow the venue's signs and website.

8. Safety

Stay aware of your surroundings and traffic while listening, follow venue rules (including on headphones and photography) and be considerate to other visitors.

9. Changes to the service

We may update or change guide content. If we stop providing a service your current pass covers, we will refund you for the unused days.

10. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant pass, and we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable. Lawyer to confirm

11. Complaints

Email [email protected] with any question or complaint. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts. These terms exist in Chinese and English; which version prevails if they differ is for the lawyer to decide.
